Evangelist Timothy Paul Posey is available to speak in your church about the mighty work that God is doing in the Country of Honduras. Bro. Tim is a Southern Baptist Evangelist and member of the Conference of Mississippi Baptist Evangelists. He has been doing evangelistic work in Honduras for the past 13 years. Bro. Tim will be in the USA from August 4th through September 8th, 2009. Please call early so that travel arrangements can be made to be at your church. Please call 1-866-740-3397, 601-910-6354 or 601-812-5985.
Bro. Tim will preach to your church a sermon about missions, and being on a mission for Jesus. He will challenge everyone in attendance to live a life on mission for God. Pastor, your members will laugh, they will cry and their hearts will be touched for Evangelism and Missions. Bro. Tim will place the pictures of several children in Honduras on a table display. These are children who are in need of a sponsor, at the end of the service Bro. Tim will be available to answer questions about sponsorship of the children and your members can decide for themselves if they would like to sponsor a child. If they do decide to sponsor a child, no money will be taken for sponsorship that day, your members will simply fill out a form which will give us authorization to draft their bank account or credit card on the date of their choice. They will take the picture of the child that they sponsor home with them. In the future, if they would like to come to Honduras to meet their sponsored child, then they will have the ability to do that.
Bro. Tim will not ask for or promote an offering, that is not his pupose for being there, however we all know that every Evangelist has expenses, a family, children in school, and must have an income. Many times on the road, the Evangelist has hotel expenses, rental car and airline expenses. We very humbly ask that the pastor ask the church to give a love offering to help with the continued expenses of this ministry. Keep in mind that Bro. Tim speaks in churches with as few as 10 people all the way up to churches with 1000 or more people and all we ask is that the people in every church be obedient to do what God has laid on your heart to do,to give what God has laid on your heart to give and we know that the needs of this ministry will be met. Don't let your church members be robbed of the blessing that comes by being obedient to what God has led them to do!
If your church can and would like to cover Bro. Tim's travel expenses or hotel expenses that would be greatly appreciated, however if you are not able to do that, please, please, please, do not allow that to stop you from calling and scheduling Bro. Tim to speak in your church, God will provide! It is simply amazing what God does at times in the love offering. Bro. Tim has said, "I recently had a pastor tell me on Sunday morning before the service that the church was not really very good about giving love offerings, he didn't know why but in all the time that he had been pastor the love offering had been very small, so I didn't need to expect very much, I told him that is not a problem, I didn't come for the love offering, God will make happen what He wants to happen. I preached that morning and God touched the hearts of those people and they took an offering of over $1000. But if it had been $1 that would have been fine with me, cause I know God will provide one way or the other."
After years of ministry we would like to make the following reccomendation. that if your church as a whole would like to do something in way of support that the church support Bro. Tim's family and ministry and leave sponsorship of the children to the individual families of your church. If you would like to discuss this with us, as to why we feel this is best, please do not hesitate to call or email.
What people have said about the work in Honduras.
I visited Honduras three years ago and I left part of my heart there. I love the children, I love what Bro. Tim and his family are doing.
We know that if people could see the kids and Tim in action at his center, there is no doubt their hearts would be moved to help however they could.
We cannot imagine the burden of having to raise money to do the work God has called you to do. We just show up to work, do our jobs, and at the appointed time collect our paychecks.
